I'm fickle

I liked the old color scheme, but I really missed my links list. So sue me. I changed again.
While incapacitated with the Cold of Doom, I watched a few movies. Soul Plane is really dull and pedantic; I had better hopes for something that seemed to take great pride in being "un-PC." All it managed was un-funny.
I also caught Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which only served to reinforce my inappropriate crush on Kirsten Dunst. Lots of other people have discussed Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey, who were remarkably cast as each other's usual type. But honestly, Kirsten and Tom Wilkinson very quietly stole the show. The entire plot hinges on their interaction and Dunst's ability to pull off her character's subsequent action; if she rings false, the house of cards tumbles. But she's a trouper, and her vulnerability and sense of betrayal are real.
I *heart* her.
Meanwhile, Wilkinson is tremendous as a subtley self-involved physician with no real concern for the ramifications of his actions. It sneaks up on you, what an ass he is. Wow. Mark Ruffalo turns in another solid performance (but wtf was up with his hair?) and Elijah Wood fucking creeped me out. Psycho.
