ETA: I would just like to point out how similar my avatar is to my actual face. I'm just sayin'.

This seemed the most logical (or most natural) way for me to show them. Maybe it's too many hours in biology lab rearing its head.

(I'm saying this even though I'm not sure what "elevation" shot means --is that some wacky engineer talk?)

Also, I pleased that scrump showed us recent pictures of you. Your hair was much shorter the last time I saw you. :)

An elevation would be perpendicular to the way you shot these pictures.

The keys would then become an obscure vertical sculpture rising from the table -- if you got down low and took the picture from the side of the table they were sitting on.

"Elevation" view and "Plan" view comes from architectural drawings. Floorplans are of course in plan view, what the house looks like if you were to drive by it would be elevation view.

Ah, these correlate to "dorsal" and "lateral" views in my language. Now I unnerstand.
