today's meditation from amidabuddha.org

By means of meditation we can teach our minds to be calm and balanced; within this calmness is a richness and a potential, an inner knowledge which can render our lives boundlessly satisfying and meaningful. While the mind may be what traps us in unhealthy patterns of stress and imbalance, it is also the mind which can free us. Through meditation, we can tap the healing qualities of mind. - Tarthang Tulku

Yeah. I should meditate soon.

I haven't even hardly tried to sit and be still in ages.

I'm not sure, I just, can't seem to focus on anything for more than a few minutes. So every time I get the feeling that I might go and try and sit quietly, something else pops up in my head and distracts me, and keeps me from it. I think I have some sort of block.

you should definitely sit and be still at least occassionally. it gives everything inside a chance to readjust and make sure it's in the right place. being outside by a big rock or a tree might be easier for you.

I know. I should. I just, don't seem to be able to for some reason. I have a block.
