I was thinking the cult of SImon would have comfortable alters just for this very purpose. But then it occurred to me that the uncomfortable hardness of the alter might in fact add to the experiance of making love in a church. Big noisy raunchy love. All that echoing space to fill.

Underwear should be left hanging from the cross.

Y'know. I think all of the churches around here are still left open and unlocked all times of the day and night. But I'm not sure. It's obviously not something I've ever checked. I know in the cities they had to start locking them up. But round these parts, it might be different.
