*mentally crosses all didgets*

I can't do it physically or I want be able to type!

[personal profile] kittynic 2005-08-10 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Won't" Damn it. "Won't"

See! Even crossing them mentally is causing me typing problems!

*giggle* It's okay, you mean well. :)

Interviews are good! All digits crossed (I shall type with my nose) - lots of luck!!!!

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Many thanks! And have someone take a picture of you typing with your nose, I'd love to see it. ;)

[identity profile] khayman.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Good luck!

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[identity profile] gonzo21.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Duly crossed.

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent!
And, "duly crossed" takes on a whole different meaning when spoken by Jesus.

[identity profile] woe2you.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but in his own words, "I can see your house from up here."

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
And he can see down my shirt. He won't admit it, though.

[identity profile] blankbadge.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll keep everything crossed.

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

Make sure you ask at the interview if they filter livejournal out of their employee's web access. That's important, y'know.

::Ahem.:: Good luck. BTW how did the move go?

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! That is indeed a Very Important Question!

The move went smoothly, however unpacking is HELL.

eeeeee! *bounce*

[identity profile] scrump.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Have a good interview, and I hope you get laid.

*ducking*

PS: Did Brian (THAT Brian, with the sangria, and the arbol-eatin' contest) ever tell you that story?

PPS: He and his wife are in Tokyo for several years. She's teaching English.

PPSS: Bastard.

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Whuh? I mean yeah, sometime during that day but prolly not at the interview...

PS: No. Tell!

PPS: Really? NEATO! How do they like it?

PPS: Well we already knew that...

[identity profile] scrump.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Professor of his at Rochester used to close out class on Friday by telling his class "Have a good weekend and I hope you get laid."

Re: Tokyo. They <3 it. Maura's teaching English, Brian's doing Goddard University and they're looking at remaining globetrotters for a while post-Japan.

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, the joy of oddball perfessers. I had a biochem prof who used to talk about "our friends the yeasty beasties who make all that ethanol you drink every weekend." A roomie had an engineering prof who reminisced about being "young, poor, and horny. Like all of you guys."

Re: Tokyo. Have they decided where on the globe they'd like to trot, post-Japan?

[identity profile] woe2you.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
Nice one. Doing what for whom?

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
RNA extraction and total gene amplification from brain tissue, with the goal of doing systems analysis of gene function. The idea being that the "one gene, one disease" paradigm is outmoded and it's rather the overall behaviour of a network of genes that will predispose one to disease.

*crosses everything*

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[identity profile] kimberlychapman.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'm even willing Peo to learn to cross hers for you too. :)

[identity profile] biogeekgrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee thanks!
