I love Doc Cottle
"You'd think they would've upgraded the plumbing."
This episode of BSG was so juicy. On the most superficial level, any show that has Lucy Lawless being evil makes teh happy. She's so good at being bad. Oooh yeah.
The baby plot really felt like a B plot, although we got plenty of Machiavelli Roslin. Personally, I prefer that to sweet schoolmarm Laura, she has a lot of depth and interest when she's doing the wrong thing for the right reasons.
And now we come to Caprica 6 and Sharon. Dude! Gaius is in 6's head too? Part of God's plan, or a manifestation of her own guilty conscience? And a Cylon resistance within the occupation is just too cool for words. I hope they spend a lot of time exploring that.

wasnt lucy lawless in this a few eps back, but NOT as a cylon??
anyhoo - yeah - interesting approach to a season which has had some less-than-excellent episodes recently - looking at things from entirely the opposite perspective, and revealing something - well, unexpected...
only another couple of episodes to go - ive got a funny feeling that this seasons cliffhanger could involve things coming to a head on caprica, co-inciding with the elections in the fleet, and possibly some sort of conflict between galactica and pegasus.

I think it's really interesting that Caprica 6 and Gaius both have a spectre in their heads; I love that Caprica 6 seems more moral than her spectre does. I think the spectres are pushing each corporeal being toward the same goal, just via different directions.
I think you're right about the cliffhanger; I think there's going to be a crazy climax between the resistance fighters, the Cylons occupiers, and the Cylon resistance.

im not sure where the early S2 eps have gone, so cant look through to check - think they might be on a HD that isnt working at the moment

That was the one. Mininova has all the early S2 eps, if you need them.

First thing I thought when I saw Gaius "Fuck, he's a cylon too!" Took me a minute to realise not.

the i realised that even the cylons dont need a convoluted plan that involves placing a sleeper agent, then sending another sleeper to seduce him into doing what they want...

and then suddenly BAM!! it all made sense - im working on a little theory to explain why they are both subconciously projecting each other, probably involving emergent sentience, love/lust, and a nuclear bomb in the face...
