Some random things I've noticed.

Dead Like Me was truly, painfully good. I say painfully because we're watching season 2 on dvd and it hurts to remember that the Fucktards In Charge cancelled it.

Sometimes, you just have to think about quantum mecahnics, M theory, and the origin of the universe. What's odd (and somewhat frightening) is how intuitive M theory is compared to quantum mechanics. At least, it is for me. Your mileage may vary.

The new Dixie Chicks album= Love. Seriously. They collaborated with Pete Yorn and Neil Finn, people. That fact alone makes me want to have their babies.

Kidding aside, learning that NF worked with them on "Silent House" made a lot of sense to me. I can easily hear his influence on the chord progression, the sparse but affecting imagery. I can hear how he'd sing it, were he to record the number, and I'm certain it would be good. But there's something Natalie Maines brings to the vocal that I don't believe he could. As her lead twines around Martie Maguire's counter, they approach that wistful, aching, high lonesome sound that's so effective in bluegrass music.

but kind of not suprising when it's the movie that helped with the realization and all. now for the pimpage of said movie.

everyone go see "Peaceful Warrior" because it's wonderful and thought provoking and brilliant. it's currently playing in 6 cities on the west coast, including san diego. much recommended. we can then all talk about live changing realizations together. :o)

Well, it was sort of inconvenient to have it then. I'm just saying.

yeah ok i can see that. nothing like being in a dark places with lots of other people where you're supposed to be quiet. and on a related note, *HUGS*

sick me watched a DLM marathon this weekend too. it merited at least a third season.

Oh yes, I loved that show for all three seconds it was broadcast. *sigh*

Some shows are cancelled, and it's upsetting because they're a personal favourite. Others, like Dead Like Me, are cut down in their prime and it is CRIMINAL and a disgrace, and fills me with woe. How how how could you cancel a show and not let them wrap up loose ends?! Particularly when it's such a widely popular show? Argh, woe woe.

Dead Like Me was just hitting its stride, with excellent characterization, intriguing plots, good writing, and a dream cast.

Of COURSE this is the show you cancel. /sarcasm
