progress in Ohio?

Received this morning on a glbt-chorus mailing list to which I'm subscribed:

"GLBT singers have been asked to participate in governor elect Ted Strickland's inaugural festivities. On Sunday January 14 at 12:00 there be a gala program at which we will sing two pieces.

I think this is such an affirmation. Ohio has the most restrictive laws pertaining to GLBT persons, and that we were invited to sing at the State House as part of the opening festivities of Strickland--wow!"

That's brilliant! Strickland was very positive in his views towards glbt issues, at least during his campaign. Let's hope he keeps it up in the legislation, where it counts the most!

It's freaking amazing. I was starting to think that any politician in Ohio who didn't vociferously proclaim the Evol of Teh Gays would spontaneously combust.
