teensy update

In a nutshell:

  1. New job = keen.

    2. Been in training for the last two weeks. Intense. Tons of information. Schedule is slammed until May 1st. For the first time in my professional life, I have to schedule in dinners with co-workers and/or trainees. Also, the VP of Operations has set the goal of having our "Illumina University" in place by end of Q2.

    This is my responsibility/project. I have to figure out levels of technical instruction and determine which employees need which level of instruction. Then I need to put some curriculum in place.

    I likely won't be around much. So. Yeah.

  2. Life is presenting new challenges/opportunities.

    3. Given the real estate market, we've decided this might be the time to buy a place. So we're looking.

    Yeah, I know. Does this make me an adult?
