We've been catching up on series 4 of So Graham Norton. Thankfully GMan doesn't seem to be quite so coked up-- forgive me if I'm wrong, but for a while there he was too twitchy and sniffly not to arouse my suspicion. But he's been funny and on, the pranks have been amusing, the audience participation perfectly embarrassing and good-natured. I love this show. "You ain't half hot, mum" was one of the best audience bits I've ever seen. High-freaking-sterical.

Half the fun of watching SGN is the guests; who's on, who's uncomfortable, and who's surprisingly fun. Dan Akroyd was horrible, trying to act as if it were an American talk show instead of a three ring circus hosted by a queenie Irishman. Um no Dan, we don't want to see your honorary police badge from Georgia. Whatevah. Pamela Anderson was a hoot; she's well aware of what makes her notorious, doesn't take herself seriously at all, and was totally game for anything. "Come on, make fun of me, I can't wait to hear what you have planned."
Jennifer Love Hewitt was a fun surprise. Graham showed her a "male chastity belt" he picked up somewhere and Jennifer giggled girlishly (as one would expect). But then she asked if she could have it, just to have it. Later, they were ogling a beefcake calendar together--it was some strange thing where the models' underwear disappeared when you licked it -- and both were quite appreciative of Mr. August's um, attributes. I never thought I'd see the like.

Anyhow, Graham YAY!
