Last week's episode of Studio 60 was made more inneresting by the realization that Sarah Paulson is gay. Because, well gay makes everything more inneresting. So says I.

Also, Shut Up and Sing was made slightly more inneresting by the realization that Natalie Maines is married to the guy who plays Nathan in Heroes. FYI, Shut Up and Sing gets a thumbs up )

Finally, hello, I'm a geek. I'm not ashamed to be squeeful about this. Seriously.

OK. More coffee.

I picked up a used copy of the first BtVS game yesterday. It's a format and playstyle I'm used to; so far there are no big surprises but it's a fun game. The series actors all reprise their roles (with the obvious glaring exception of Sarah Michelle Gellar) which adds to the happy.

Second, I picked up a Game of the Year edition of Morrowind. What, I want to play Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Dude, I can be a werewolf in Bloodmoon!
"Werewolf?"
"There, wolf! ...

...Oh sorry, I thought we were talking like that."

Um...okay yeah I'm done. Oooh, with the exception of saying this:

One day 'til Battlestar Galactica! *dances*

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion has tempted me to consider purchasing an Xbox 360. I love Morrowind and after hearing all the wonderful things [livejournal.com profile] khayman said about Oblivion, I know it'd be a great gaming experience. But I've been hedging; do I really want to invest in a new machine?

Well, I've just read on Cnet that Square Enix is releasing Final Fantasy XI for Xbox 360, with full keyboard support and Xbox live. Scheduled release date is this month.

There's no question anymore; it supports my two favorite games, and Star Wars: Battlefront II is in the works. I will buy a 360. Um, when I have the extra cash, naturally. O.o

...'cause I finally finished Morrowind. Rec me a game, preferably available on Xbox. RPGs preferred but not necessary.

For my pregnant friends: An interesting article about changes in men's hormone levels during their wives' pregnancy. It can be found at Psychology Today online.

For the last few days I've been busy answering ads on craigslist (the furniture hunt continues) and haven't had time to exercise regularly. My body is not happy about this. I think it might be time to get a new membership to the Y so I can exercise at night.

On a completely different note, I want to hook up [livejournal.com profile] lizardsmae's xbox and play Morrowind. She was kind enough to loan it to me, the least I can do is get some enjoyment out of it. Oh well, maybe when the furniture situation is sorted.

It's Monday, but at least it's the afternoon. I have no idea where my day went but it can stay there. I'm in no hurry to get it back. :b

I had a revelation on Sunday. [livejournal.com profile] bobamster and I weren't able to surf, due to poor conditions. I was quite sad, as you might imagine, and lamented the winter weather. Then I realized that many people who surf when it's warm then go snowboarding when it's cold. And I thought Hey, that's what I should do! I should learn to snowboard!

(Go ahead, you can laugh.)

[livejournal.com profile] wafflelips said that the conversion is final, I am now a California Girl.

Had lots of Geek Fun this weekend. Played a crazy amount of FFXI. Leveled. Started playing in parties (many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] chumm for the lift, the pies, and the How to Play a Mage chat before). Going to the Dunes to find a party reminded me of the first time I went to a club. You have to look interesting, be visible, and hope ohpleaseohplease that someone wants to hook up with you. Except you get to kill monsters.

On Friday, I heard from Slimey D that Hirsute Playa was thinking of asking me out. To his credit, Slimey just smiled and said "You don't wanna do that." Thanks to the Slimey one for having my back on that.

So how's your weekend?

So. Much much killing last night. I took out strolling saplings, canyon rarabs, killer bees, and too many pygmaioi to count-- all without much use of magic, instead lvling my sword and shield skills. Go tiny me! I considered taking on the Goblin Tinker around the bend, but then I saw he was standing close to the Goblin Butcher and thought better of it. The Tinker checked at "decent challenge" but the Butcher checked at "tough." Yeah I think I'll go stand over here instead.

Then I felt all calm and lovely and went home to work on my weaving and bonecarving skills.

Oh dear

I was instructed by the Sick One that I really should have bought an Xbox for her Christmas present, and why didn't I run out and fix that? So I did. Insane. One store was completely filled with stupid shoppers and had run out of the Xbox hardware, so I drove to another part of town. They had the hardware which I purchased with all due haste. I was also hit on by the cashier, who seemed terribly pleased that "a girl" was buying an Xbox for herself. I left the store before he could propose.

Now I realize that I never should have bought it. The damned thing is far too addictive. Holy mackerel!
