That is scary. So, the reason it derailed was because it hit a car at the crossing? Why were the car and train on the crossing at the same time?

I read the article about this... turns out the guy who caused it survived (he changed his mind at the last moment and jumped out of his car). Jeeeesh. If he was suicidal before I imagine this will make him even moreso...
