Actually, WonderDoc is a really cool gal who's also a big fan of the ocean. (She's a kayaker.) My neck is mostly sorted out, and the physical exertion of surfing will probably be beneficial to the muscles. So she gave me the all-clear in terms of a mock order to go surf.

And the stress-relief benefit wouldn't hurt either, I'm sure. Some sun, water, fresh air, and conquering a few waves (ok, hopefully more than a few) would be a definite winner over a stressful day at work. Hey, maybe I should come watch you surf... I'd get almost all the same benefits!

It looks like the weather should co-operate with us, and I think the longboard should be fixed by then. I will be calling soon to harass the surf shop b/c it should have been done by now. I can't fucking wait to go out!

When it gets warm enough to go in without a wetsuit (sometime in May) you should come with us and go bodyboarding. And you're welcome to tag along with us sometime to go surfing. Let us know if you want us to tell you when we're going.
