- You are not ugly. You are 16 and awkward right now but you'll grow out of it in the next few years. And then you'll discover how much of a flirt you are. ;)
- Learn to take constructive criticism to heart. The people who are offering it to you are actually your strongest supporters, not detractors.
- Don't be afraid to work hard at something; just because a task or skill doesn't come easy doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile.
- Your niece is going to start getting very sick very soon. Talk to someone. I mean it. It doesn't matter if it's Mr. Black or the minister or the counselor at school, just seek out help. It doesn't mean you're weak. Watching this baby slowly waste away and die will severely fuck you up for a long time; getting help now will make you stronger in the long run.
- Contrary to what you may think, your friends really do know and understand you pretty well. That said, you should start opening up and sharing things with them. They want to know that stuff, and they really won't laugh.
- When Heather Anderson gives you that big hug and little kiss after play rehearsal, kiss her back. I mean, a real kiss. Yes it's scary, but I have a feeling she'd like it. ;)
