Grey's Anatomy is mean. We watched Sunday's episode last night and it just put me through the ringer. No spoilers, just... could they possibly have knocked around any more sensitive issues? Ow. Bailey was tremendous this week; the two scenes of her protecting her interns were wonderful. I'm having me some Bailey love, that's for sure, but it can't surpass my Yang love. Oh Cristina!

C: "Do you think we'll feel better if we cry?"
M: "Probably."
*beat*
C, panicking: "Do you want to cry NOW?"

Next week we get even more Yang goodness, complete with Mama Yang. Hee!

Veronica Mars is so so fun. I have no idea what's going to happen on this week's episode, given the trailer. Why is her name on the dead bus driver's hand? What is the confession she gives the cops? It's all a giant WTF, and I love it.

Gilmore Girls: didn't watch that last night, although we taped it. I have to say, it's been leaving me flat the last few weeks. I have even stopped wanting to throttle Rory and am content to let her wallow in her self-designed World of Hell.

BSG: why is this broadcast only once a week? BitTorrent makes my router go all crashy so I'm at the mercy of SciFi channel. Damn you, SciFi!

I want a donut. Maple dip, preferably. That is all.

She posted this in her journal today.

Hey, I am trying to find dynamite feminist (mostly) female performers for a festival that we are hosting here in
San Diego next summer.  Do you know of anyone who might be interested? Especially West Coast folks, but everyone is welcome!  There is a (small-ish) fee allocated for each performer and we will of course cover travel & lodging.  Here is a generic version of the letters I have been sending to the candidates.  Let me know if you have any suggestions.  and THANK YOU ALL!

Dear Performer,

I am a member of the San Diego Women’s Chorus and the search committee for the 9th Sister Singers Festival, which we are hosting here in San Diego at SDSU June 22-25, 2006.  It will be the 25th anniversary of the Sister Singers Network.

The Sister Singers Network is a cooperative web of feminist choruses and ensembles, composers, arrangers, and individual singers working together to support and enrich the women's choral movement.  There is more information regarding the sister singers at www.sistersingers.net

We are hoping that you might be interested in being involved with the Festival as a performer/workshop facilitator.  Since this is the first Sister Since this is the first Sister Singers Festival being held on the West Coast, we would like to have some of our wonderful West Coast talent be a part of this event.

We are currently putting together our program and our hope is that you would be able to give us some suggestions on how you could and would like to be involved. I would love to talk to you about your possibly being involved in the Festival.

I hope that this has piqued your interest and that we will hear from you shortly.  Please feel free to call me anytime!

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    Dawn R. Levy
