I was guilted into running for a seat on the chorus' board of directors this term. I only agreed because certain sitting members' terms are expired; I find them tedious and long-winded and couldn't bear the thought of sitting through an interminable meeting with any of them.

So. We're trying to schedule our first meeting which was scheduled for this evening. However, not everyone can make it and much of the old board are waving their arms and wailing about the need "for all incoming and outgoing members to be present at the transition." They haven't even drawn up and submitted an agenda for our review, so we have no idea what they all have to talk about.

The flurry of emails back and forth is depleting my patience. I am thisclose to sending out a message telling them to write up a detailed report, submit it to the new board, and let us have the meeting. If any outgoing members can make the meeting that's great but they should put in writing anything that needs to be communicated. After all, it isn't as though they're going to be making any decisions.

And to top it off, they want to have it the afternoon of SuperBowl Sunday. WTF bitches, I'ma be watching Pittsburgh kick ass.
