introducing the new family member

Adopted this weekend from a friend. She's about 3 months old, pure black, super talkative and spastic. Her name is Lila.

	she's very talkative
	learning how to use the scratching post

Well, a tuxedo cat is one kind of cat, but a black cat is another beast altogether. They're much better adapted to lurking under beds and then pouncing on the feet of unsuspecting humans. ;)

Actually, the friend we adopted her from thought she had a little white spot on her chest, but I've looked and I see nothing but black fur. So Anita, if you're reading this, she's all black.

Exactly, particularly since I have the talkative, plays-with-the-cat-in-the-mirror, pounces on dust bunnies cuteness.

Now, if she'll just learn (quickly) that 1) humans are diurnal and 2) don't really like to be woken up every 45 minutes to play... O.o

and i'm sure she would love to play with you...and by that i mean have you watch her play and occassionally throw a mouse/stuffed cat toy at her. and at some point she'll probably lay there are look at you as if she were wondering "why is that huge human thing not petting me right now?" and then she'll decide to play with your hand. :o)

Congrats on the new family member! A black cat, now you have a proper familiar! ;) This is coming from a girl who has an apricot poodle for a familiar. But then, I always was a little f'ed up!

Now, what does it say that my mom's cats were both black? And that my first cat, who picked me when I went to the shelter, was also black? ;)

Apricot poodles are spooky, at least by me.
