Starlight 2006 Summer Auditions


To be held April 2nd though April 8th

AEA (pending LOA agreement) and nonunion auditions are welcome.
ALL AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Accompanist is provided.

Nonunion: You must prepare a song no longer than one (1) minute in length.
Sheet music must be in the correct key.
NO TAPED ACCOMPANIMENT OR A CAPPELLA AUDITIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Youth auditions will take place on April 8th, from 10am to 6pm.
We are only looking for up to age 13 and under 4’ tall.

Hmm...go stand in the public fountain of a mall while wearing pink hot pants and a feather boa. While swishing the change around with your bare toes start singing covers of old Doors songs a capella (sp?) as loud as possible.

Hey, I went to school with the artistic director there. (He's even directing JCS and Urinetown.) We gave the graduation speech for our junior high school graduation, were in a couple plays together in junior high and high school, and used to play D&D together. I doubt I could pull any strings for you, but you could always drop my name to get his attention....

Open a road atlas. Randomly point to a place on it. If it's less than 2,000 miles away, roadtrip it this weekend. Just get in the car and hit the road with your driving partner. Buy what you need on the way.

That's how we wound up driving to Boise for a weekend once. And going to Death Valley. Etcetera.
