I'm feeling slightly less than shiny today. Cheer me up?

Um... I'm taking a poster to a solar physics conference and it has Cary Grant in it. The poster, not the conference.

You worked Cary Grant into your poster? Pray tell how.

The software I've been working on is called OMPOLE, a successor to MPOLE. So I have picture of Cary and Eva Saint-Marie in North by Northwest. They're in the dining car, and Roger (Grant) gives Eve (Saint-Marie) his card, which says "Roger O Thornton". The quote is:
Eve: What does the O stand for?
Roger: Nothing.

I wish I could convey the timing, but I'm hoping the picture is enough to grab some attention.

That is officially awe-inspiring use of Cary Grant.

That's a great scene. So the O in OMPOLE doesn't stand for anything?

It was going to be "Object-oriented" but I much prefer "nothing".

Makes a better story, anyway. :)

It's art. Dammit.

I'm feeling less than shiny today as well. But that's okay, cause the day is more than half over (for both of us!) and soon we can go home and play!

Aww. Have some music:

Gentleman Reg - The Boyfriend Song is the bounciest song about being broke and lonely that I can think of.

And oh, you'll so totally appreciate this one: Rachel Ries - Cleveland.
