Thanks for the vibes and hugs. I meet with the guys from 1-2pm and right now I'm feeling kinda nervous. Don't know why; I bumped into the guy who's been tapped to be the Chief Scientific Officer the other day, and he seemed excited to hear of my interest. I guess I just want to know what's up. I feel very unsettled by everything.

I talked to my sister last week and mentioned the offer. She got so excited by the possibility of us being back on the east coast. On one hand, yay! On the other hand, huh? My fucked-up dysfunctional family wants me closer to them. This is good?

Oh well. No worries about that right now. Are you guys headed to Phoenix?

guess we're playing tag team to arizona. maybe the 4 of us can do something this weekend? we don't have any set plans right now. cris works tonight (and i think i'm going to watch the last 2 hours of angels in america, unless you're entertaining me otherwise), then i have yoga tomorrow am. there's been talk of a movie. your people should call(home, work, cell), email, livejournal, fax, send smoke signals, or telepathically contact my people to talk.

and if you don't walk out of your meeting this afternoon with some sort of idea about what the heck is going on, that's slightly worrisome. but no worries, it will answer all important essential questions and concerns, so sayeth i. :)

Thanks. I think it will. I really don't know why I'm getting nervous. They like me, they know my reputation. From their reputation, I doubt they'd do anything completely half-assed. I'm just cultivating butterflies in my stomach, though.

brilliant. my brain is anxiously awaiting your telepathic response. once said response is received, i will telepathically respond back to you to confirm and discuss. just to be sure after the fact, we might want to communicate via email or phone due to the volitile nature of telepathic communication...sometimes my psychic, ESP, and telepathic abilities take a holiday without telling me in advance. it's led to some disasterous mishaps really.

hmmm, what a happy sounding movie. i haven't seen Psycho Beach Party...the movie sounds fun. i have a feeling, ok, i know for certain, that the girl wants to use our AMC gift certificates, as she is operating on a tight little budget. we'll chat and figure something out. :)

Well, the business side seems sound . The CEO guy has his head on straight, which is reassuring. He has plans, which mostly seem feasible. He's realistic about what could happen. But he has to talk to HR about packages and won't have a final answer until the first week of January. So some more waiting.

i think it is too soon to see RotK with the certificates...maybe cris will fold if we go to a matinee...i'll look at what's playing also...cris and i usually have totally different tastes in movies (with some amount of overlap), so it can be a challenging thing...we'll discuss, you and T discuss, we'll reach some sort of conclusion. :) and if no movies are seen jointly, that's ok too..we'll find something else to do i'm sure.

bummer that you have to wait again...but it's good news that meeting with the CEO went well on both ends. maybe there are advantages for there being all this time...gives both you and management time to examine and come to conclusions, etc. that said, i know how frustrating and trying waiting can be. but yay for the meeting going well. :)

i'm up for any movie anyone wants to go to first, second priority for me is using the tickets i have because they will only save us a few bucks anyway. would love to do something with them though, even if it's just dinner ( or lunch, or maybe even breakfast some morning???).

See my response to virginmartyr1 for general info. But in addition to that, my supervisor (Frenchie) knows about it and gave me a little advice. There's a lot of politics going on at the company, and while the guy I interviewed with has plans, there are other people way up at his level who have other plans. In essence she told me to keep a low profile and not to pack. It may happen, but not for a while.

It's a letdown but it's also a relief. I may still get a cool offer, but there's a lot of stuff that needs to be sorted out first.
