Merry New Year!

Some thoughts at the start of the New Year:

1. 2003 was an uneventful year. I did try a few new things, but for the most part it was business as usual, spending time with wafflelips and with friends. *waves to virginmartyr1*. No big dramas, no big changes.

All in all, this makes 2003 one of the best years in my life. No drama is good.

2. Champagne makes me sleepy. One glass at midnight and I was done.

3. The new Xbox has shown me that I still have a lot of anger and that's okay. I just have to remember to vent it appropriately.

4. Slimey D is a slick nasty manipulative dickwad who I'd like to beat up. (See #3.)

5. I have the best girl in the world. We're coming up on our tenth anniversary and we have as much fun now as we ever did, if not more. I don't know of many couples who like to play and have fun as much as we do. I think that's pretty awesome.

1. *waves back* yay for uneventful years...mine could have been less eventful, but, trust me, it could have been way more.

2. champagne, and really all alcohol, makes me sleepy. lol. but i think i did a pretty good staying up at the party and not getting too sleepy. (see #3)

3. the new xbox is my new best friend...and i'm slightly worried about this. i had video game dreams after the party. and i want to come over to play hunter everyday. i know i have a lot of anger and have decided that getting addicted to video games is the way to work it out (screw therapy and actually working through the issues at hand...that's for sissies).

4. while i don't know slimey d personally (yay for me), i too feel he is a dickwad and will from here on out think of him as one of those nasty bloody yucky zombies who i beat the shit out of (while swearing and enjoying it).

5. that is pretty awesome! i wanna be like you guys when i grow up (no really, it's been really wonderful to have such incredible examples of healthy lesbian couples (you two and anna & christie) in my life...especially since the first couple of years of my lesbianinity was spend surrounded by total dyke drama. :)

Yay for X-Box! I don't think I really have any anger to work out on video games but I do enjoy hitting people with my car in Grand Theft Auto... Maybe I am an angry person. Who knows? I generally like feeling all super athletic and cool in video games which is why I love games like Tony Hawk. My addiction right now is Tony Hawk's Underground which kicks ass. I'm good at it too. Played too much of it this week though and my eyes were burning...oops.

You are a super cool couple and you're very lucky to have each other. It's so amazing to find someone you can click with. Who makes you laugh and swoon all at the same time. Congratulations on 10 years!!!

It suprised me how much I still like the smash-n-slash games. We were playing Hunter: The Reckoning for a long time and we just loved it. It was the highlight of the evening.

1. I know girl, I know. Let's hope 2004 is downright dull.

2. I noticed your lack of sleepiness, what with the yelling and cussing and slicing up zombies. You were almost perky!

3. You can therapize all you want and understand the root of your anger; that doesn't make the anger go away. This is something I've realized. Knowing where the anger comes from helps me keep it in check most of the time, and I've made real progres on that. But it hasn't gone away, no sirree bob. That's where the video games come in.
