How old are we?

The guy who's taken over one of my old projects is a waste of my time. He's worked on related technology, so he shouldn't be terribly confused about this project. But for some reason I can't fathom, he's lost. He can't follow directions, he can't plan reasonable experiments, he doesn't even know how to make basic buffers. He has a Master's degree and he didn't know how to pH a solution.

To make matters worse, instead of asking for help he just sits at his desk doing nothing but trading stock on E-Trade. How old are you?

Also, we received notice that we're having a team lunch this week. The organizer already scheduled it, too. To top it off, he's broken down the overall group into smaller groups and mixed people up from different research teams. So we all get to chat and "team build." "Please sit with your assigned group."

I emailed him and said he had a promising career as a kindergarten teacher ahead of him.
