Another early morning phone call from Mom. This time, it was almost 6. Also, this time my dad's in the hospital. Apparently, it took some cajoling for her to convince him to go even though his blood pressure was very low. Then, he was terribly surprised that the ER doc admitted him right away.

My dad is so stubborn and dense sometimes. Oy.

There is a rule - all fathers must be stubborn and dense. Particularly if they are unwell. Don't know what it is.

Sorry your mom can't wait until eight. Sorry about your dad. I was just on the phone yesterday with my Dr.s receptionist explaining I had a sore throat for a week. She said why didn't you call earlier. I explained; us guys wait until either we are comatose or better.
Not to smart, anyway now hopefully he'll be alright.

Consider-- the middle joint on my right ring finger has been injured since before Thanksgiving. I still have the x-ray referral but since

1) I need to take of half a day to go to the
radiology center (they don't do x-rays before
8:00, after 5:00, or on Saturdays) and
2) since it isn't debilitating,

I will probably not get anything done until the end of the quarter.

That he could be convinced to go to the hospital is a good thing.

I hope things work out.
