Well Bush is in Canada for two days to meet with Paul Martin and speak "directly to the Canadian people" Wednesday in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In honor of the visit, a poll:
As it stands, we apparently have some ass kissing to do in order to get our Canadian beef back into the US, so I'm not foreseeing much on the wrist slapping thing going on. Canada has been quite politely put in its place by the US since 9/11. Even our offers to help have been turned down primarily. We really don't have any kind of bargaining chip to work with.
well, you COULD always send in some of your troops to help them out with their NEXT little war - at least then, bush would have to at least THINK about any requests you might make, rather than just turning you down flat. and talking of beef - does anyone know if british beef is still banned in france??
when the death toll got too big, george turned to his favorite poodle close ally tony to provide extra troops for one of his recent operations in iraq - this didnt go down too well back here in the UK, but when youve got a presidentarsehole prime minister like that, who BLATANTLY refuses to listen to what the electorate (his employers!!) say, then its obvious that he'll do whatever it takes to get closer to george than anyone else - as long as its other people doing the fighting and dying, and him getting all the credit...
