The last round of layoffs happened yesterday and they affected R&D. My close friend Al was cut and that makes me sad; the bench is very empty without him.

I work for a new director. I will probably have a new project. I feel very unsettled today. Ah well, guess I'll roll with it.

I hate that "But you didn't ask ME" feeling when they make big changes at work... and it sucks that your friend got laid off. Yucky. :-(

yeah it does. i think i will Hit Things with Sticks this weekend. that usually cheers me up.
