Is there a new virus going around?

Over the last week, I've received over a hundred emails a day from various addresses with subjects like "Fwd: your registration information" or "Your password confirmed" and the body text "Ok, here it is."

It's fucking getting old.

I got an email with an attachment with a .pif extension which means it is an application.
Luckily, I did not open it.
