Tomorrow I sign the loan papers and get my new car. The insurance binder has just arrived, an appointment has been made, rides to drop off the Corolla with T and to the credit union have been arranged, all systems are go. Now I just have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. Easier said than done.

C and I are going up to LA this weekend. For my birthday, she got tickets to Wicked. I won't bother describing how excited I am; I loved the novel, I've heard great things about the musical, and it gives me a chance to explore a bit of a new city. The only thing that would make the trip better would be a Sandra Oh sighting. A girl can dream.

And, to finish on a random note: one of the fun things about science is getting to see words like coxsackie on a regular basis. Hee!

I got all excited when I saw you were coming to L.A. this weekend and forgot that I'm leaving L.A. for the weekend. I'm missing out on seeing Wicked with Kathleen and her coven as they bought the tickets about a year ago and had no idea I'd be here.

And I'm glad to know science hasn't distracted you from taking joy in the little things. :P
