FTD.com just called to inform me that the flower arrangement I purchased was never delivered to geli_tripping's dad's funeral. The florist just... forgot... or something.

They've apologized profusely, will be sending a formal letter of apology to the family, are sending a larger arrangement to her house, and are refunding me 25% of my purchase price. Of course, I've tried to be as understanding as possible. We're all human, mistakes happen.

But wow, just about the worst time for such an accident to happen. Just, not cool.

Thanks. I just sent her a quick email to explain and of course she understands. It just sucks that a) I couldn't be there and then on top of it b) the flowers didn't arrive. Ah well.

When my brother died, I ordered flowers from me and my son, Danny. Mine said "Baby Bro" on it as that's what I called him Danny's said "uncle Kevin". MI was very careful to make sure she wrote everything down correctly as it was not something standard. They came back reading, Baby Brother and Uncle Kevon.

Needless to say, I pitched a god awful fit! How can a florist be so fucking incompetant on such a one-off occasion.

Dunno man, I was too stunned to pitch a fit. I was more flabbergasted that there would be some kind of glitch in their system -- because it was apparently a system glitch -- that would cause my order to simply get lost. Fortunately, my sistah was understanding.
