quesarah | weekends are too short

Saw Serenity with

king_ghidorah on Friday night. That's a good movie; I was able to follow along pretty well even though I've seen maybe 2 entire episodes of Firefly. No spoilage, only a general thumbs up from the peanut gallery.

Saturday was a day of morning laziness followed by afternoon busy-ness. I was hoping to go to the big lesbian and bi-sekh-shul bonfire at La Jolla shores, but C forgot about a chorus board event scheduled for the same time. Even though I reallyreally wanted to go to the beach, I decided to be a responsible soon-to-be-board-member and go to the event. It wasn't too bad, all together. Not my favorite people for socializing but not too painful.

Sunday morning we performed at a Scouting for All rally. (they protest the BSA's exclusionary policies toward Atheists and the lgbt community) We had counter protesters holding signs saying "Execute Homosexual Pedophiles" who heckled the speakers. Definitely an eye-opening experience. Afterwards, I went to the gym and had a good, hard workout. Yeah.

Sunday evening was chorus rehearsal, and damned if we aren't picking up the new stuff quickly. This cd project is supa-cool and is going to sound friggin' awesome.

In other news, since viewing Serenity "shiny" is trying hard to enter my vocabulary. Stupid Joss Whedon.

Hmmm. Monday morning. Short, clipped sentences. Perhaps I should wander around and drink coffee until my vocabulator stops malfunctioning.
