1. I'm making good progress on [livejournal.com profile] virginmartyr1's Chrismahanukwanzaka scarf. So much so that I'm contemplating crocheting a hat. First I need to find a pattern. And also, learn to do stitches other than single crochet. trifles, merely trifles

2. My boss is still a dickweed.

3. No luck at Pfizer. I'm behind door number 2!

4. In filling [livejournal.com profile] gonzo21's request for the photo meme, I've gotten hung up deciding what plant is my favorite. As soon as I decide, I'll post. Or maybe I'll just post everything.

5. Is this thing on? ::taps mic::

6. Sandra Oh has been nominated for a Golden Globe. Lo, the heavens opened and there was much rejoicing in the land, and the streets flowed with honey, and the lion layed down with the lamb and Izzie with Addison. And [livejournal.com profile] biogeekgrrl looked down and beheld the scene and declared "It is good."

7. I have been sucked back into Morrowind, the Black Hole of time-warping RPGs. Of course, I get to be the messiah --er, Nerevaine, and that kinda makes me feel happy in funny places. I'll let you know when I save the world.

8. Work? What work?

That game is too damned big for its own good.

Also, the snowy island expansion back bit is very crashy. Which makes me sad.

But, it still bewitches me sometimes into climbing a mountain and watching the sun come up.

Haven't hit the snowy island expansion back bit yet. Only about 2/3 through. Good god that game is HUGE.

I keep getting side-tracked in it. Like, I thought I would explore the big city, made of of the interconnected square pyramids, in the southern central portion of the world. The name of which I forget. And, I seem to have been there forever, to the extent that I've forgotten more or less what I shoudl be doing.

One thing the game fails at very badly, the logbook/diary thing. It would be much better if it kept a more identifiable list of active quests.

You could spend forever wandering around the countryside. New little things pop up, side quests present themselves. I did a lot more of the Hlaalu and Fighter's Guild jobs this time and that took a while.

The journal is really very limited, for all the enormous amount of data that gets stored in it. KOTOR did a much nicer job of that.

Fighters guild. Assassins guild. Thiefs guild. Mages guild. I swear, I'm a member of about a dozen secret socities, and I keep finding more. :)

I wonder if the new Morrowind is any good.

I've read a few reviews, all of them favorable. It sounds like they've tried to make it slightly lest vast and daunting at first, maybe easier to get into. Dunno. Looks positively beautiful, though.
