What I mean is this: oftentimes, launguage is completely inadequate means to describe what we feel, how we react to beauty, how we perceive the universe, how we wrestle with Great Fundamental Questions of Existence, et cetera. We can utilize important multisyllabic words; we can train them together in pretty meter; we can use all manner of tricks and schemes to make poetry out of it. But in the end, it's all grunting and pointing.
You meet someone. You fall in love and suddenly you feel at home, as though you've blindly stumbled into some grand cosmic plan for your life and for the first time in your life you feel as though you're exactly where you ought to be.
Try to describe how that feels? Words fail. Language fails. It's all grunting and pointing, compared to that which is sublimely transcendental.
Aye. I know. I wrestle with this every single time I sit down to try and write something. The sheer staggering inefficiency of words to express what I want to express. Which is by and large, unexpressable.
(I also feel like a complete fraud every time I try to write about love. But, that's another issue.)
