[profile] virginmartyr1 gave my hard drive to one of the IT guys at her company. He said that it's obvious that it's spinning up, but he thinks the read head must be broken because it won't read any info.

*meep*

What now?!?

if its not reading anything, then theres not much that can be done, unlessyou can attach a new head - which isnt exactly the easiest job in the world.
even most data recovery people would just send it back to the manufacturer if the data on the drive was important enough...

Well, if money is no object, there are some companies that will do a spankin' good job of getting your data back for you...

Otherwise, you're probably boned.
