First and foremost, voice-overs. If they must have VO on every single episode, they should hire Kirsten Bell for the snark factor or permanently assign the task to Sandra Oh, who can act. Wait, you mean there are words here in the beginning? To which we should attend, since they will impart a delicate flowering of understanding upon our experience of the show? You mean, it really isn't a baleful low mooing over the show's opening? Fancy that.

Second, McDreamy and Meredith really need to drop off the face of the earth. Every time he gives her one of those sappy lopsided grins I just want to bludgeon him up the side of his head, and she is a sucking black vortex of boring. Every time she's on screen, I enter a mild fugue state until a more compelling character joins her. Seriously. Seriously.

Third, I am trying very hard not to hate George, not only because he is stressed to breaking but because he is typically a person who tries too hard to be nice to everyone all the time. Such people (myself included) invariably suffer breakdowns in which they are the biggest dicks in the universe to everyone around them, shaming habitual assholes with the magnificent magnitude of their bitchtacularness. I'm not excusing him, I'm just saying that if anyone should cut him slack,  it's me. So. But someone should totally smack him.

Fourth, Izzy/Alex/Addison threesome. I'm just sayin'.

Random: is it just me, or did the scene where Cristina runs from the OR remind any of you of the scene in Double Happiness after the blind date from hell? Anyone other than me think Sandra Oh runs weird? Just me? K, just asking.

Heroes continues to make me want to have its babies. I haven't figured out why Peter's getting sick, if it's related to Sylar, Daddy Bennett or the Haitian. Or hey, maybe he picked up a little bug. Who knows. Regardless, I'm curious how the whole explosion thing will work out. Does he absorb all of the other Heroes abilities to face down Sylar? When he does so, does he end up absorbing Sylar's too? Can he not control the nuclear power thing, is that what causes the explosion? So many questions. Add to those: I really like Nikki, but does she really think a jail cell can hold Jessica? Who's calling the shots at Daddy Bennett's operation? Micah seems to understand how things work too; is he going to be an anti-Sylar or is his ability unique?

January 22nd? The fuck?!!?

I'm behind on Teh Battlestars and Studio 60, so this is all I got. Dismissed.

Oh god, Merediths fucking voiceovers. Pretensious drivel from a stupid stupid woman who has no idea what true wisdom is. She reminds me of a first year history of art student.

Izzie/Alex/Addison/McSteamy square dance handoff of sexin. I am also just sayin.

...it kills me that I ship Addison/Alex more than Addison/Izzie now...but I do. Though I also think Callie and Addison = hot, too.

I also want to beat George with a mallet, even though he has righteous reasons to stay pissy, but I do. Want to hit him with a mallet.

And then Heroes is the best thing ever, the end.

Oooh, hello! I have a multitude of bad "hoedown" jokes in my brain, but I will be a good citizen and leave them there. Instead I will think of the awesomeness that is Callie and Addison, both for the fact that the characters should develop a friendship and also for the fact that the two of them look hot together. Hello, nurse!

HEHE, nothing to do with TV. I love this icon. I am from AK and the weirdest question I ever got was how I liked Hawaii. I couldnt figure it out till I realised how they put them together on a lot of maps. The person thought that we must go all the time since they were so close!

Heroes is so very yum. Daddy really made a meanie doing that to poor Claire. WTF? But whoa when The Haitian decides to take matters into his own hands!!

After seeing the 6 months ago episode, I am all about Nikki+DL+Micah love. It was so sweet to see them back together. I did not like the moment when Nikki finally realized that she had to leave. I mean, I expected it. The acting just bugged me for some reason. Just came across as very Star Wars. But anyway, again super cuddles to DL for being such a wonderful husband. Hey, you shot me and you're nuts but we're going to work this out.

Do we know who all the people Sylar has killed so far are and what their powers were? I mean, I know there is the list, but has there been a close up and definition of it? Obviously, he's got super strength to go bustin' down the mad glass like that (poor Eden!)

Peter. The illness is clearly something he picked up while being all nursey and doesn't have a thing to do with the future of the world. (I think it has something to do with the Haitian's presence -- like maybe it dampened his powers and consequently, Claire's healing factor sort of reversed and so the injuries he sustained were coming back a bit... No wait. Never mind. He must have picked up something from Sylar. There's been no indication what that might be, but he was in close proximity to him so why wouldn't he have Sylar's powers already?)

I have no idea where to begin speculating on the 'sploding Peter. Claire stopping to say a sad "I'm sorry," to him as everyone ran away was very touching and curious-making.

Daddy is a truly interesting character, because he is doing heinous things all in the name of protecting Claire. Erasing the memories of her best friend? In her best interest. He obviously has other directives, and I'm curious to know what organization is capturing and cataloging the heroes, but he's definitely using the tools at his disposal to protect his little girl. And he does not care who gets hurt in the process. Dude.

DL+Nikki+Micah are the sweetest dysfunctional family ever. Ali Larter's acting abilities are somewhat suspect, but the scene is still touching. Each of them is trying to protect the others. So sweet.

I think we can only guess about the people Sylar killed. Mohinder has the list and his father's notes, but we don't know for sure how many abilities he's taken. Does he even know before he kills them, or does he just follow the list and kill them as he can? I wonder. And Eden clearly underestimated Sylar, or overestimated herself. She got the upper hand on him after the homecoming attack but there in the cell he was ready for her.

I think Peter only borrows powers for a short time, so maybe some of the weird dreams he had were a result of having been close to Sylar for a little bit. We don't know if there's a minimum time he has to be near someone to mimic their abilities, either. Maybe the struggle and fall off the school roof wasn't long enough? I'm just hand-waving here.

I've read other people's comments about that last scene, and a few of them wondered if Claire was giving Peter her healing ability because they knew he had to contain the explosion or face Sylar or some other big heinous thing. That would make sense of her apology (such a sweet gesture). There's also speculation about whether Nathan was giving Peter the ability to fly, to take the explosion or unknown catastrophe away from the city.

Did you notice that, in the dream, before Mohinder steps out of his cab he looks at Peter and smiles? Sort of an encouraging smile I thought, but definitely different from the somber expressions on the heroes' faces. Hmmm.

<3 extensive discussion and speculation!

When I was only half paying attention to the show, I was very unsure about Daddy and his love. It was when he was watching her paint the Homecoming sign with that look of love on his face that changed my mind. But yes, the things he does to keep her safe... not cool, Daddy! And obviously the Haitian agrees. I can't wait to see what he's all about. I hope Zach gets his memories back. He was so sweet!

Sylar. I think it's 6 or 9 people dead from the same MO? We know he now has:

-Super strength ... or no wait... how did he break the glass? Was it telekinesis? Did he throw something? We know he has telekinesis from the first guy he killed. He obviously has strength too though, since he's all about lifting up cheerleaders with one hand.
-Ice abilities? In the episode where we first meet hte mindreading cop, wasn't there someone frozen solid?
-Absorb knowledge quickly -- Charlene
-May soon be able to draw the future (Hiro found Isaac dead shortly before the explosion so it is possible that he might still die.)
-Can perform some killer cheers and looks so hot in a miniskirt with pompoms. Bring it on!

(I really like the name Eden, btw). Eden overestimated herself I think. The Haitian was there too, neutralizing Sylar's powers. Obviously the Haitian can control whom he neutralizes, then. But also, she wasn't expecting him to bust through the glass. Daddy ought to have known better. If he knows the list and knows what Sylar is after, he'd also know what powers he has and imprison him accordingly.

Your hand waving is fair and quite fun. Perhaps add a bit more flailing though. Just put down the coffee first please.

Time must be some sort of factor. He was with Claire for a wee bit prior to Sylar and it was obviously enough time for him to survive -- oh wait!! He picked up the cop's powers very quickly. Perhaps it has to do with the use of the power? Like the other person has to be using the power for it to get to him. Which would explain the flying and the telepathy. Meanwhile Claire's and Sylar's powers -- and Charlene too, for example, are naturally always occuring.

The dreams? I was almost going to say it seems like the kid in India, but Sylar hasn't killed that kid. Sylar's powers seem so very technical, while the dream seemed more... dreamlike. Sylar sees people's brains like the pieces of a clock. But we don't know what image comes from that so hmmm... But it was also the future that Peter was seeing. Did he get near Isaac at any point?

I think Claire was giving him some of her powers ... maybe to help him survive, but knowing that he might not. Also super touching moment: Claire telling Peter that he is her hero. Characters ftw: Claire, Peter, DL, Micah and of course, Hiro.

Also, can't wait to see how Micah's powers will come to work.

I really want to watch -- well the whole season now. I want to pick up on the little things. Mohinder's smile, maybe it was an encouragement like "don't worry, you're sacrificing yourself to save the world," like a little thank you for 'sploding, dude. I'd buy you a beer, but, you know, scorched body parts.

We missed some stuff

Peter has always had dreams. Also, "He also thinks that Peter's a dreamer whose job is going nowhere, and working for Nathan is a way out of that. Peter leaves and sees Simone Deveraux hailing a cab outside. He hails his own, the driver of which turns out to be [Mohinder] Suresh. They discuss the coming eclipse, and whether or not Peter is special."

Excellent. Boss is away for 2 weeks. *adds these ep guides to list of things to do instead of work*

So, in addition to being a mimic, Peter is capable of prophetic dreams. I'd forgotten about that.

I wish I weren't so frakking busy at work right now, I'd love to read the episode guides and speculate. Eek!

Yup, plus the fact that he had met Mohinder in the cab and discussed meaningful issues... might relate to that little smile in the dream.

Can he also manipulate metal? I'm trying to make sense of the murder scene that had a woman pinned up on the wall with a bunch of knives and tools stuck in her. That could just be telekinesis, though.

When the Clea Duvall's character first encounters Sylar and chases him, there's a confrontation in which Sylar is able to move her hand with her weapon toward her. Is that telekinesis or some kind of mind control? I'm unclear.

How does he cut open his victim's skulls? Is it possible that he's manipulating the iron in the bloodstream to do the cutting? Is it some kind of force-projection, like Sue Storm?

We know for sure he has telekinesis. But telepathy and metal control could be in there as well. I think the gun issue would be more mind control because I would think it much easier to make someone move their hand with a gun, than to move the hand yourself. The latter would just be so terribly awkward and would require more concentration.

Goodness. I have so many questions! But I will learn them on my own or with friends. fan site forums scare me. O.o
