Rise Against: The Sufferer and the Witness
Completely un-poppy punk rock with a political message. I get all wibbly just thinking about Tim McIlrath screaming out the chorus of "Prayer of the Refugee." Seriously.

Got it, thanks to Jesse. It is shiny and good. :)

Black Keys: Magic Potion
Lo-fi no-frills old school rock, mean riffs, and vocals reminiscent of Paul Rogers. Yum.

Silversun Pickups: Carnavas
The current single, Lazy Eye, is alternately dreamy and screamy. I am intrigued. Want more.

Bloc Party: Weekend in the City
I wanted to marry their last album; of course I want this one.

I totally, totally, totally recommend The Black Angels! Especially if you're into the Warlocks, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Brian Jonestown Massacre, or the Velvet Underground ~ I believe their name is taken from a VU song and the vocalist, who is a guy, sounds oddly like Nico!?!?!?!
