I saw Virginmartyr's post so I got the real estate angle ... but I only know the word from eBay and never quite understood it then. It involved numbers. Math is hard.
Truthfully, I'm not sure what escrow means. All I know is, an offer has been accepted by both parties, the escrow people taken some of our money as a good-faith deposit and all the purchasing activity has begun.
I know that the deal can still fall through in escrow (if the place appraised for less than the purchase price, for example) but that's doubtful. So I'm starting to get very excited. And also realizing that I have to start packing soon. Oy.
