I'm thinking a tiny herb garden on the balcony, just to get some green living things.

we have a little balcony garden going, too. even a little green space is wonderful. i love our balcony! turns out you can container garden a whole bunch of vegetables and fruits as well as herbs and flowers. we're mixing ours up quite a bit. i'm going to try potatoes in a tub haha.

I used to do -- rather, T and I used to do -- peppers and such on our balcony. Did really well too, in giant clay pots.

Not sure I have the room for the giant pots, but I definitely can get herbs going in a flower box. I love growing things around me.
