Work intrigue

Oh what a wacky day. This morning my train was held up because something fell on the tracks, pushing them out of place. We were stopped for almost 30 minutes while repairs were made.

As soon as I got into work, I learned that my boss has a new boss. Not only that, the new boss now has a new boss. Apparently both Furry German and New Boss aren't thrilled with the arrangement, but they're playing nice so far. I have yet to really glean how this is going to effect me, but there's a good chance I'll have a different project. Interesting.

And now I'll tell you the strangest part of my day. I was having lunch when New Boss, who is normally above such things as socializing with the peons, approached me to make sure I knew about the changes and was okay with them. I assured him that I'm fine, I'll roll with the changes. He on the other hand seems distinctly not okay with the changes. He has, in effect, been demoted. Hoo boy.

I hope it gets dull now.

Heh, thanks. Sorry about making strange, cryptic work announcements. It's actually a pretty big deal. But the way I worded it sounds very strange, I'll admit.

It doesn't help. Mosca and I speak japanese around the cats all the time (okay, she speaks japanese, I say japanese words and hope for the best), and they understand just fine.

Yeah, I'm cool with it. There's all kinds of wackiness surrounding it. But Sandrine is smart and savvy. I think I'll be just fine working for her.

I'm on my 3rd boss at this company, and I've only worked here 2 years. Honestly, I don't know what I do to them.

Sandrine was spun off into a new group. I was switched into her group. Furry G gets a requisition for a scientist to replace her, but no req to replace me. D and 2 others still work for him.

New Boss (the asshole about whom I've so bitterly complained) is no longer an assistant director, but a senior scientist. *smackdown*
