The US is still claiming it'll be good for the economy, refuses to entertain building any mass transit to and from because the commute to work "isn't so bad."

The Russians? They've got a flag? Damn, that's dashed cunning of them!

Hey, don't mock the Russians, this last week they've started running Tupolev nuclear-capable bombers direct towards our airspace again, and turning back at the last minute with our air defence fighters in close escort. Which they haven't done since the good old days of the Cold War when we were all about to get blown up at any second.

Yep. And the cold war works pretty damned well for Putin too. Only this time he thinks he can win it because the Russians suddenly have a lot of money thanks to their gas reserves that t hey're selling to the EU for vast sums of cold hard foreign currency.
