Concert is coming up in May. We have an all-new set of music to learn for it (and the big festival this summer). Director has not picked out all the pieces yet, so rehearsal is canceled for two weeks in a row.

We don't have a helluva lot of time to learn this music, and he's cutting two rehearsals because he isn't organized enough to pick out the music.

I am not happy.

Well, those mid-week sectionals every week are oh-so-convienent when we have to cram our parts in quickly. We'll have to have those every week now. Yay!

I'm still undecided about chorus. I really miss it when I'm gone. But I am crackhead-crazy-busy and I'm not going to GALA. Hmmmm. Hmmmm.

So, wonderful board members, how about moving the concert from May until June????

I don't like having just 8 weeks to learn the music. Oh yeah, I could learn it, but it just doesn't feel together for the whole group. Even with the last concert, another 2-3 weeks would have made all the difference. Of course, if I'd liked all the music, it would have made a big difference too.

i will bring up having the concert in june. right now, we don't have a concert date at all. so there ya go. i emailed carol this morning to see if she had an explanation for why practice is being cancelled again. i imagine it's because chris isn't ready (but really, not ready at ALL??? not one itty bitty song). I also let her know that i was frustrated and had heard from other chorus members that THEY were frustrated as well. so i'll let you know what response i get.

regardless, bobamster, you should still sing with us! yes you should. because it's so fun. crazy hectic fun. but fun!
