Today at lunch, I passed a cute woman in a truck singing along to Johnny Cash's version of Hurt. I fell in love for 15 minutes or so. ::sigh::

I heard Breaking the Girl on the way home and wished it had been written by Charles Mingus. At the very least, I wish he could've recorded it. I think it'd make a spectacular jazz song; besides, he'd play a helluva bass line.

A good tamale is a thing of beauty. We just split two we picked up at Trader Joe's; a white corn and a chicken with green chile. Dooooode, talk about good eats. Of note, our cashier at TJ's was a young surf-type fellow who was terribly chipper in the way that only those who have been hit in the head multiple times by a longboard can be. He gave us a small bunch of daffodils, because "they're going to throw them away tonight, anyway. Might as well give them to the customers!" Doooooooode.

Moby? Still the Antichrist. When will Mel Gibson make a movie about him?

Mel Gibson is in love with violence and gore and makes 'historical fiction' movies to justify his gratutious usage of both. If Moby's life was filled with blood and guts, then I'm sure Mel would be penning that deal as we speak.

Except it'd be like Now, we really need to see the suffering this tomato is going through as Moby juices it. So I want to set up a shot where we see the blade slicing through the skin in slow motion, then we're going to see the shuddering of the whole tomato, then we're going to pan to the side of the blender where we'll see some seeds sticking to the glass.

Art rawks!
