Better days?
Mar. 25th, 2004 08:43 amThis morning is decent, so far. I bought a maple dip -- I haven't had one in several months -- and oh, it was good! The cashier was nice; I said "have a nice day" and she genuinely replied "thanks, you too." Plus, I called Cingular and got a real answer as to why my order is taking so long. I'm trying to port my old # from one company to Cingular, and it's the other company that's not moving forward with the port. They put in a work ticket for IT to get the port taken care of, said that it will take 24-72 business hours, and informed me of the ticket number. Customer service! Halle-fricken-lujah!

Date: 2004-03-25 12:19 pm (UTC)What? People in California don't genuinely say "have a good day" to each other???? Oh, right. I remember that "Thank you" is always followed by "mmm hmm"... ;)
What's funny here is that we say "sorry" for everything. I laughed at myself this morning. This woman was opening the washroom (not the stall--the big door into the hallway) from the inside and I was pushing it open slowly from the outside. We both said, "Sorry." Even though no one was surprised, hurt, in the way or anything. It's just a Canadian habit, I guess. :P
