I rock so HARD!

Who has figured out the source of the Machine Problem From Hell? Who put her biochemistry expertise to work and came up with the theory that everyone else thought was goofy -- but turned out to be true?

If you answered "Furry German" then you my friend are WRONG!

If you said, "Hey, that sounds like Sarah." Then you are COMPLETELY CORRECT!

Recognize my genius brilliance! Huzzah!

I will say yes! Let me check with [livejournal.com profile] wafflelips about the day, though. I think she's supposed to work the Adams Ave Street Fair with [livejournal.com profile] prrrn this weekend.

You definitely rock harder than... something... that, uh, rocks... really... hard. Running out of clever banter for the day. Sorry.

But you definitely rock.

You wanna rock and roll all night and party every day.

Here you are, rock you like a hurricane.

Woo!

You may be running out of clever banter, but never admit the power of quoting lyrics from 80's rock songs.

Rock and Roll all Nite is Kiss in their mid-1970s prime, back when they were putting out two albums a year, starring in comic books and really bad TV movies, and showing up on TV shows everywhere.

The Scorpions, however, are definitely an artifact of the 1980s.

At least I didn't say your were a fast machine who kept your motor clean, the best damned woman that I ever seen. Yeah, yeah, yeah you. Shook me all night long.

It disturbs me that you know so much about KISS.

It was the 1970s. They were everywhere. Like Bruce Lee and Mohammed Ali. Or Leif Garrett (though I can't for the life of me think of a thing he ever sang) or the Bay City Rollers, the Village People, Abba, the Captain and Tennielle, the Starland Vocal Band, Peter Frampton, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Peaches and Herb, or any of a bazillion bands that rushed to the forefront of fame, stayed there beyond their welcome, and now are burned into my brain. I'm just glad KISS never had their own variety show. Not that that wouldn't have been a brilliant idea...

GENE SIMMONS (voiceover): "NBC! Are you ready to rock?"

PYROTECHNICS PRECEDE BAND RISING FROM FLOOR ON ROTATING PLATFORM. SMOKE AND FLAME BILLOW HELLISHLY ON STAGE AS MUSIC RISES.

DON PARDO (voiceover): Welcome to America's favorite variety show, the KISS Calvcade of stars. With your hosts-- KISS. This week's guests: Mohammed Ali, Howard Cosell, Mark Spitz, Ruth Buzzi, Rich Little, and the KISS players. Our musical guests this week: the Bay City Rollers!

BAND PERFORMS MEDLEY OF POPPY VERSIONS OF HOTTER THAN HELL, ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT, DETROIT ROCK CITY AND BETH, ENDING IN A VERY SAPPY PIANO SOLO FROM PETER CRISS.

ACE FREELEY: That was great guys. Hey, it looks like we have a guest!

PETER CRISS: Really?

PAUL STANLEY: Look! It's Rich Little!

RICH LITTLE (doing his Richard Nixon impression): I am not a crook!

GENE SIMMONS: (growls and tears out Rich Little's jugular, spitting his blood everywhere.)

RICH LITTLE: Aaaaagggghh!

ACE FREELEY: Oh, that Gene!

BAND LAUGHS HEARTILY AS RICH LITTLE LIES STILL AND YOU HEAR A CRUNCHING SOUND FROM GENE SIMMONS, HUNCHED OVER RICH LITTLE"S LIFELESS BODY.

DON PARDO: We're taking a quick commercial break. Next, a visit from Ruth Buzzi!

peter frampton was my very first concert, though being the mid 70's, I do not remember much of it...there was a guy...long hair...a thing he blew into to make some noises...

Veeeeeery interesting, but stupid!!
sock it to me!
*sings* I've got you babe...
go speed racer..go speed racer...

OMG I AM CAUGHT IN A 70'S TIME WARP! HEEEEEEEEEELP MEEEEEEEEEEE!

this is very funny. At the close of every show; they all come out and wave goodbye and one of the band would hold up an illegitimate love child.

"Wave bye, bye"

Maybe the closing theme song could be a cover of Dr. Hook's "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone"

Perfect!

(Don't forget that every show should include at least one pointless musical number and one very un-funny comedy routine.)

Yes, it is. Which is why I opted for the black dress and the pearls.

DId you get that long moment of awkward stares and discomfort just before you were proven right? Followed quikcly there after by heartfelt kudoes and a few faked smiles and mental threats to slash your tires and sacrifice your pets?

No? Not like that at all? In that case, I blame the owl for making me write that.

Yay for you and your furry germans!

I got some blank stares, yeah, but no discernible discomfort. More sort of a set of blank expressions while their memories tried to dredge up any recollection of biochemistry class. And then an admission of "yeah, that could be it."

Afterwards it was "that was it? It was really it?" Promptly followed by "get back to work."

I feel the lurve.
