True. The tricky part is knowing what differences are real or not. I'd like to see the result of some sort of questionaire that helped assign a Kinsey-type number to the respondents. When it comes to brain chemistry, you want to know about attraction and not necessarily just behavior or self-definition.

This is true, but there was some response in the olfactory (ie non-sexual) region of the brains of homosexual men, too. And they only tested 36 subjects in a really tightly defined population. For example, what if any effect would left-handedness have on the data? This is all I'm getting at. Brain chemistry is so tricky to understand and pin down.

Oh yeah, I've seen that and my bp spiked immediately. We're talking about life, death, health and they're talking about "giving license to have premarital sex." Fucking hell people, grow up.

wasnt there some research that showed that teenage pregnancies were higher among those groups who practised abstention?
if the kids are going to do it anyway, at least let them be protected - if they dont need it, then thats cool - but at lerast give them the chance.

I don't know about teen pregnancies, but I've seen research that teens who pledge "abstinence" define it strictly as intercourse and are more likley to engage in other sexual behaviors, like oral and anal sex.

I'm not a parent, but I think that if I were I'd want my kid to be informed and protected instead of ignorant and coddled.
