I read that the WUSA has suspended operations due to a lack of funding. If you're interested, here's an article that goes into more detail. I can't decide whether I'm more angry or sad at this turn of events. The games have been consistently popular in San Diego, and they attract a lot of families with children. Maybe that's the problem; they aren't marketing to a bunch of 20-30 year old men who are going to guzzle beer at the games, so they have a hard time finding sponsors.
