I ordered an item for [livejournal.com profile] wafflelips' birthday. The warehouse shipped the wrong item. Customer service apologized and said they'd arrange for UPS to pick up the incorrect package and ship the correct.

UPS is trying to pickup the package this afternoon. There is one tracking number for this process.

UPS is also trying to deliver the correct item at some point today. There is another tracking number for this.

UPS customer service cannot tell me whether or not one driver will take care of both packages. They have absolutely no way knowing this information.

*thunks head against wall*

What? You expect competence in this process? I'm just hoping they deliver the right stuff this time!

Oooh UPS fun! I had a gift sent to me from LA when I was in the hospital and they wanted to charge me $100+ to receive it, which went down to $75 when I said it was a gift. The sender paid the $75 but by then, it was on it's way back to LA for some reason instead of being held like they said it would. Unfortunately, by that time, the sender was on his way back to Australia, so now, there's some lucky UPS delivery guy with a free PSX.

I think it's all a big scam to infuriate and frustrate customers and get free shit.

UPS is the spawn of satan. there's nothing like them when it comes to inefficiency, annoyance, plain stupidity, and bad customer service. sure the folks at customer service are nice but they can't do anything. they will not deliver to our apartment (even though leaving a package at our door is probably safer than leaving a package at many of the houses on our block, just because no one can see our door.

a while back cris ordered something to wear for a wedding we had coming up. the whole delivery fiasco was a nightmare. first they tried delivering the wrong item (it was intended for someone else in the building), but we were never home to get it and couldn't tell that it wasn't our package...the driver had written really sloppily so it looked like it was intended for our apartment so someone put the notice (which was 2nd notice at that) on our mailbox. so i told them to deliver it to me at work finally. they did, it was the wrong thing intended for someone that was not us. time was running out. they had to come back in and pick up the incorrect package. and then about 5 days later we finally got cris' package...which i had delivered to work. UPS works great for businesses that always have someone there. but they suck suck suck for home deliveries.

die ups die. ARG.

point is, i feel your pain.

Clearly. Their online tracking system is crap. Things sit in warehouses for a few days, then disappear. You have to check back constantly to see if anything changes. Ridiculous.

They suck. Suck suck suck suck suck.

We need to print out the ups logo and tape it to the punching bag...if we ever get it.
